Geraldton - Great Central Road - Yulara Tally

As the Great Central Road particularly is very remote we like to keep track of what we see on the drive. We started this tradition on our last trip in 07/08 but the list was retyped & emailed to our friends from Mad Nanas & the original discarded but we forgot to send a copy to ourselves :-/

What stuck in our mind from the previous list though was the lack of live native animals seen & not many other travellers on the road.

So we were interested to see how we would go this time :-)

New items were added to the list as we came across them; ENJOY!

----------------------------------------
Generally the more bizarre items we only saw once but as you can see with the magic teepee made of sticks that is not always the case. (Yes Lyssa I will try & get you a picture on the way back)

I found the abandoned vehicles the most distressing as our journey wore on because it reminds you of how very remote & isolated you are (thank God for EPIRB...)

We were disappointed that we saw less camels this time, only one herd, but there is always on the way back to look forward to, whereas our last trip we continued north and came back through the top end of WA.

Mathew is pretty keen to grab himself an X box on the way home at what the boys are calling Outback Harvey Norman, lol.
